Erin Bury

Hi, I’m Erin. I’m a marketer, tech expert, and entrepreneur.

I’m a marketer, technology expert, & entrepreneur who was named one of Marketing Magazine’s top 30 Under 30. I’m CEO at estate planning startup Willful. I was previously Managing Director at comms firm Eighty-Eight, & founding editor at startup publication BetaKit. I’m also an advisor to startups Quill, Pawzy, and Pressed News. My side hustle is founding bike wine tour company The County Wine Tours in Prince Edward County.

My speaking career has humble beginnings: teaching entrepreneurs about social media at the local library. That was over a decade ago, and now I’m lucky enough to be represented by Speakers’ Spotlight, and to speak to thousands of people every year about my passions: marketing, entrepreneurship, and technology. I've spoken at events for TD, Manulife Financial, Square, PwC, and others, and I also frequently host and emcee events and was once called the Michael Jordan of panel moderation (true story). If you’re looking for a speaker, host, moderator, or panelist for your event, I’d love to chat.

My current speaking topics include:

  • How to attract and retain millennial talent

  • Marketing to millennials

  • 5 tech trends that are changing the digital landscape

  • 10 keys to personal branding

  • The Blank Slate Effect: how the mindset of an entrepreneur can make you a better marketer

See more about my speaking capabilities on the Speakers’ Spotlight website.

I’m a regular contributor to publications about small business, marketing, and technology. I write a monthly column for the Financial Post, and have appeared in The New York Times, CNN, and Forbes. I also comment frequently in the press about the Canadian startup ecosystem, marketing trends, and personal branding. Here are some of my recent features:
